Tom McSweeney is one of Australia's most respected casting directors and acting educators, with a career spanning more than 35 years in casting. Throughout his career, Tom has cast more than 100 feature films, television series and miniseries, as well as 500+ hours of episodic television, earning four Artios Award nominations, three Casting Guild of Australia Awards, and an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Casting on The Starter Wife.
Known for his remarkable eye for talent, Tom has helped launch the careers of countless internationally recognised actors including Ben Affleck, Renée Zellweger, Mila Kunis, Anna Torv, Emily Browning, Mia Wasikowska, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Jesse Spencer, Phoebe Tonkin, Karl Urban, Claire Holt and Emilie de Ravin, among many others.

Participants will:
Perform a prepared scene for Tom and receive personalised direction and feedback.
Apply that feedback in a second take, just as you would in a professional audition or callback.
Take part in an extended Q&A covering the casting process, self-tapes, auditions, industry expectations, and how to make a lasting impression.
PREPARATION:
A scene will be emailed to participants 5–7 days prior to the workshop. Please learn and prepare the scene as you would for a professional screen audition.
