A showreel is a fantastic way to demonstrate your abilities to industry professionals.
STUDIO HIRE
Our studios can be used for castings, rehearsals, meetings or actor get-togethers.
SELF-TAPES
Book an appointment and send your scripts through so we can familiarise ourselves with them. We are happy to provide professional reading or you can bring in your own reader if you prefer.
Our self-tape studio includes:
Three Point Lighting
Canon XA Cameras
Microphone
Large flat screen for playback.
Bathrooms with mirrors are available if you need to change between scenes.
If you need extra time to include coaching for those trickier roles, we are more than happy to help with that too.
Once we have shot your scene(s), we will:
Put together your best takes along with a name slate
Compress and upload the file(s)
Email the link to your agent or whomever you wish, making sure everything meets the correct technical specs.
We are extremely flexible and will always try to accommodate out-of-hour tapes and same day requests.

If you haven't got any solid footage behind you, but you'd like something to show around, or even just need an updated copy of your skills, TAFTA is the perfect place to get your showreels done.
You will come away with not only a professionally shot scenes but we also take the time to consider each individual’s personality and marketability, focusing on exactly how you want to portray yourself. No matter what level you are – whether you are just starting out or merely in need of refreshing your reel, then this is a great opportunity for you. “For me, I need to be able to hear everything and see everything. I need it to be in a common file format that my computer can easily open. I prefer one or two simple scenes that don’t involve gun wielding or bloody-faced weeping. Those kinds of highly dramatic scenes tend to be difficult to gauge acting ability from when they’re taken out of the context of a film or TV series. Just a couple of scenes, if there’s a difference in tone between them, that’s useful, so a comedic scene and a scene from a drama is useful."

Our studios can be used for castings, rehearsals, meetings or simply a place for actors to get together.
Whatever your need let us know – whether it’s someone to help run your casting session, provide technical support, be a reader in one of your sessions or simply upload your footage, at TAFTA we can help. We can also provide castings on SD Card or online (and can also allow for same day viewing of a casting session if required).
