What to bring: healthy lunch, snacks, water bottle, and USB or SD card
Perfect for curious young minds eager to take their creativity to the next level, our Junior Screen Acting Holiday Program introduces students to the fundamentals of on-camera performance in a fun, interactive, and engaging way. Students will play ensemble-building improv games, rehearse two scenes (sent out two weeks before) and film their performances using a professional multi-camera setup. Over the two action-packed days, students will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like on a professional set, learning insights about how the film and television industry, agents, and auditions. We’ll explore on-screen acting techniques including hitting marks, maintaining eye-lines, and using body language to tell a story. Students will also enjoy voice and vocal warm-ups, helping them project, articulate, and add expression to their characters.
What They Will Walk Away With:
X2 in-studio filmed scenes on USB or SD card to proudly share with family and friends
Hands-on experience with on-camera acting techniques, voice work, and improvisation
A deeper understanding of teamwork, storytelling, and creative problem-solving
Boosted confidence and practical skills they can continue to develop in future acting classes
Insight into how a professional set operates and what being a working actor is like
New friends and memories from a fun, collaborative two-day screen acting experience!
Students are dropped off at 10am and picked up at 3pm on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st January. By the end of the program, they’ll leave with new friends, new skills, and their very own professionally filmed scene to take home on USB or SD card!
