TAFTA’s Junior Acting Classes give young performers aged 9–12 the perfect balance of creativity, skill-building, and fun. Designed to introduce students to the world of screen performance, these classes encourage imagination, teamwork, and confidence while developing practical acting techniques used by professionals in film and television.
Each week, students take part in engaging on-camera exercises, scene work, and improvisation to strengthen their focus, listening, and storytelling skills. They’ll explore character, emotion, and physicality in a safe and encouraging environment while learning the basics of on-set etiquette, how film crews operate, and what it takes to work collaboratively on screen. Students will have the opportunity to film, review and apply feedback to their scenes in-studio, gaining valuable on-camera experience while celebrating their progress and achievements along the way.
