In this six week course we will be working with scripts from every genre.
Switching between theatre, film and fast turn around TV means adjusting your performance in subtle but important ways.
Simone Buchanan, playing Debbie in Boar.
In theatre, you need a bigger, more sustained energy so the whole audience can feel your character.
In film, everything becomes smaller and more detailed because the camera picks up every tiny expression.
Fast turn around TV asks for quick decisions, strong instincts and consistency, even with little rehearsal time. The skill is knowing how to gently dial your performance up or down to suit the medium while staying true to character.
The idea is to understand these subtle differences, enabling you to be audition ready on every level.
It will be fast, challenging and fun!!
