Our Full-Time and Part-Time Screen Acting Programs are dedicated courses designed to give you the tools you need to work professionally as an actor. You will study in a range of areas aimed at helping you understand the film industry in depth and prepare you to work at the level of a professional screen actor.

How long is the course?
The course runs for 10 months, over 2 x 3 hour days a week (Tuesday & Thursday). The sessions run from 6:30pm - 9:30pm.
How many people are in the class?
There are approximately 10 people in the class, however, this varies based on registration. We thrive in keeping our class sizes small so the actors get the required one on one support in their class time by our teaching professionals.
Do I have to audition?
No. The part-time program does not require auditions or appliciations.
Does the course only run in Melbourne?
No. The Part-Time Program now runs in Sydney as-well.
Do you offer accommodation?
Unfortunately, we do not offer accommodation for those students moving interstate/overseas. The course is held in Brunswick in Melbourne and Alexandria in Sydney so we advise you look for a place close by.
What happens once you finish the course?
When you finish the course, you will get to film a self-tape reel with 2 contrasting scenes. You will also receive a lifetime discount of 10% for any courses/workshops that are held at TAFTA. You become a part of our TAFTA family for life.
Do I have to pay upfront?
We do require a non-refundable deposit payment of $900.00 to secure your place in the course once you have been accepted. We offer payment plans of 3-months or per-term.
Do you have an age limit?
This course is designed for adults (18 years and over), however, this is dependant on parental discretion.
