MELBOURNE PROGRAM DATES - 2012

We are very excited to be announcing our new programs for 2012, we are going to be doing a lot more in Melbourne as we now have a second studio! We have a lot of new and exciting programs (including our NEW 40 Week Part Time Program, Regular Voice Classes, Advanced Programs and MUCH MUCH MORE!). Check out the programs and dates that are below!

There are limited spots available in each program, so get in quick if you don't want to miss out. We already have several bookings for a number of these programs, notably Ultimate Screentest Workshop #1(we only have one spot left!) and only one spot left in the January NAI.

These are all of the dates that I will be teaching in 2012, additional courses will be added over time.

Elements #1 - Two Courses Running in 2012

A beginners course for Film & Television - if all you've ever done is stage or you've done nothing at all, this course is for you!

Program 1 Commences: Monday 23rd January - Monday 19th March

Program 2 Commences: Monday 16th July - Monday 10th September

Duration: This is an 9 session program that runs over 9 consecutive weeks, each session is of 3 hours in duration.
Time: 7-10pm
Cost: $460

A follow up to Elements #1 where you will now work in a lot more detail with much more advanced material. You don't have to have done Elements #1 to do this program as long as you have had some screen experience and or substantial stage experience.

Program 1 Commences: Monday 16th April - Monday 4th June

Program 2 Commences: Monday 24th September - Monday 12th November

Duration: This is an 8 session program that runs over 8 consecutive weeks, each session is of 3 hours in duration.
Time: 7-10pm

This course takes in to account all the aspects of Charachers and Emotions and the exploration of relatsionships and their possibilities in any givens scene. This is not about choices for a screentest, this is about the choices made once you have got the role. This course is not one for the beginner! If you are thinking of doing Advanced Emotions then this is a great program to pair it with.

Duration: This is an 8 session program that runs over eight  consecutive weeks, each session is of 3 hours in duration.

Learn a whole new technique to get those Emotions flowing. This program stands on its own and is the most innovative & modern program in existence. Do you need to brush up on your emotional skills? Then this is the program for you! There are no prior requirements for this course.

Duration: This is an 8 session program that runs over eight  consecutive weeks, each session is of 3 hours in duration.

Now you are ready to work! This program is all about getting the job!
Students must have completed Elements #1 or Emotions #1 at very least to do this program, preferably students have completed a number of our programs.

Program 1 Commences: Tuesday 24th January

Program 2 Commences: Tuesday 17th July

Duration: This is an 8 session program that runs over eight consecutive weeks, each session is of 3 hours in duration.
Time: 7-10pm
Cost: $460

Takes you to performance level where you can hopefully call upon any emotions as required at any time. Students should have completed Emotions #1 to do this program.

Program 1 Commences: Thursday 19th January

Program 2 Commences: Thursday 19th July

Duration: This is an 8 session program that runs over eight consecutive weeks, each session is of 3 hours in duration.

Students should have completed Elements #1 or Elements #2 and or Emotions #1 to do this program. Understand and exhibit the modern approach to behaviors - be able to freely express and portray yourself as any character in any given circumstance.

Duration:This is an 8 session program that runs over eight consecutive weeks, each session is of 3 hours in duration.

Speaking American is one of your key tools as an actor if you want to go to LA and audition for the US - an American Accent is a must! Learn the basics that you will need to assist you in this process - No prior requirements.

Duration: This workshop runs over one weekend only

Continue to learn & take your American accent to the next level. Heading to LA? Then this program is a MUST! Students must have completed the Introduction to Speaking American with Melissa Agnew first to gain entry in to this program.

Your voice is one of  your key tools as an actor. In 2012 we will be providing term Voice classes at our new Studio. No prior requirements for this program.

This program caters for Teens aged 12 - 16. These classes run per school term teaching all the basic necessities for screen acting. No prior requirements for this course, each term is 9 to 10 weeks in duration and each session runs for three hours in length (working in with the school term).

Ever wanted to become a working actor but had no time? Well now you can! This is TAFTA's first complete Part Time Program. Over the duration of this program you will learn the essential elements and skills that you need to begin a career as a working actor.

Whilst this program is designed for those wishing to pursue a career as an actor, the program is also extremely beneficial to those wanting to learn about themselves, gain self-confidence and become a stronger and more complete individual. Classes run two days a week: Wednesday evenings (7pm - 10pm) and all day on Saturday (10am - 5pm). Entry is via Audition only. No prior requirements.
